Lacey
The Woodland Square neighborhood and older streets off Pacific Ave, Hawks Prairie across the freeway to the north, and lake country out Ruddell and Carpenter.
Olympia
The Eastside and Bigelow, downtown and the Capitol blocks, west toward Cooper Point, then up the inlet to Boston Harbor.
South county
Tumwater first, then the wells-and-propane stretch: Yelm, Rainier, Tenino, Rochester and Littlerock.
North along I-5
DuPont’s planned streets and old Steilacoom above the water, one short freeway hop north.

Every area in the ring shares some habits. In town the groundwater carries iron and manganese, and past the city limits the well water gets harder; septic fields take over where the sewer stops; eight damp months keep dryer vents wet; and a windstorm can black out a neighborhood overnight and take control boards with it. Those habits shape the diagnosis. Picture a scaled dishwasher element on a Boston Harbor well, a refrigerator that will not restart in a Hawks Prairie garage, or a Rainier propane range that was never converted properly. Every area listed below gets a separate page with field notes of its own. Shelton and Centralia lie beyond the ring, and callers from there hear it on the phone rather than watching a van fail to show.
